2018 UNIVERSE VALUES
2018 TİAK A.Ş. TV AUDIENCE MEASUREMENT PANEL UNIVERSE VALUES
2018 TV AUDIENCE MEASUREMENT PANEL UNIVERSE VALUES, calculated by using 2018 Database Research results and Turkish Statistical Institute Population Statistics, have been deployed as of March 1st, 2019.
As per the decision taken by the Board of Directors of TİAK A.Ş., 2018 Universe Values would be deployed as of March 1st, 2019, and they will be used during the processes of "daily weighting", "specification of target household numbers", and "panel-universe balance monitoring".
Following the amendment to the RTÜK (Radio and Television Supreme Council) Regulation on the Measurement of Viewing and Listening Ratings of Broadcast Services, which was published in the Official Gazette dated May 12th, 2018, households in residential areas with a population less than 10,000, previously included in the TV Audience Measurement Panel, will not exist in the panel as of March 1st, 2019.
Pursuant to the amendment, "TİAK A.Ş. TV Audience Measurement Panel Universe" will be defined as follows, starting from March 1st, 2019:
THE DEFINITION OF 2018 TV AUDIENCE MEASUREMENT PANEL UNIVERSE:
Provided that the bottom threshold of residential areas (total district population) is 10,000, the universe covers, across the 40 provinces where measurements are performed, all households used as a residential house with at least one television in working condition, and all individuals aged over 5 years dwelling in these households. The size of the universe is N=58.367.080 (the universe size growth between 2016 and 2018 is approximately 1.100.000 people).
