TİAK 2020 Television Yearbook and 2022-2027 New Period Meeting
TİAK A.Ş. held a conference on the "2020 Yearbook of Television Measurement" and TİAK-Kantar Media 2022-2027 signing ceremony of the television measurements agreement.
RTÜK President Ebubekir ŞAHİN, RTÜK Vice President Orhan KARADAŞ, Supreme Council Members Deniz GÜÇER, Taha YÜCEL, Nurullah ÖZTÜRK, Okan KONURALP, RTÜK Vice Presidents İbrahim USLU, Orhan ÖZDEMİR, Head of RTÜK's Public Opinion, Broadcast Research and Measurement Department Deniz GÜLER, TİAK Management Board Chairman Ümit ÖNAL, Turkish Advertisers Association President Ahmet PURA, Advertisers Association (RD) President Volkan İKİLER, Head of Ministry of Customs and Trade Department Oğuz ŞAHİN, TİAK board members, representatives of subscriber agencies-channels, officials from relevant industries and members of the press attended the conference.
The conference started with the opening speech of TİAK President Ümit ÖNAL and continued with speeches by Volkan İKİLER, President of Turkish Association of Advertising Agencies; Ahmet PURA, President of the Turkish Advertisers Association; and Ebubekir ŞAHİN, President of RTÜK. At the conference, the importance of TİAK's institutional structure for television broadcasting and the entire sector was underlined. After that, the Head of TİAK Technical Committee, Ogün Doğan AKYOL made a presentation on the 2020 Television Yearbook. The presentation included striking data on national and global TV Viewing habits in 2020. After the presentation, TİAK General Manager Dursun GÜLERYÜZ made an informative presentation on “Processes for Determining Measurement Companies in 2022-2027”. It was followed by a signing ceremony held with TİAK Chairman Ümit ÖNAL, Deputy Chairs Banun ERKIRAN and Emre TAYLAR, and Kantar Media CEO Mesut SAKAL.
After the signing ceremony, Kantar Media Global Strategic Director Keld NIELSEN and Kantar Media Global Strategic Content Director John McCARTHY made a presentation on the "Main Features and Innovations of TV Audience Measurement in 2022-2027".
After the presentations, TİAK Chairman Ümit ÖNAL presented a gift to RTÜK President Ebubekir ŞAHİN. The conference ended with a photoshoot on stage.
