Conference on New Trends in TV Audience Measurements
Organized by TİAK A.Ş., the Conference on INNOVATIONS IN TV AUDIENCE MEASUREMENT took place with the attendance of around 120 listeners and 6 speakers at Istanbul Wyndham Grand Hotel on December 15, 2016 between 14:00 and 17:30.
The Conference on INNOVATIONS IN TV AUDIENCE MEASUREMENT was organized to inform the industry about the selection process of the contractor company and results for the New Term for TV Audience Measurement Service that commenced in October 2017, as well as the novelties and changes brought by the new period that is planned to commence in October 2017 with an option of 3+2 years.
The conference started with the opening speeches delivered by Hakan TURALI, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at TİAK A.Ş., Taha YÜCEL, Supreme Board Member at RTÜK (Radio and Television Supreme Council) and Ahmet PURA, President of Advertisers Association.  The opening speeches were followed by an informative session where Dursun GÜLERYÜZ, General Manager of TİAK A.Ş., briefed our relevant stakeholders on the Results of the 2016 Establishment Survey, New Universe Values of TV Audience Panel and Their Reflections on the Audience Panel.
The Signature Ceremony for the New Term of TV Audience Measurement took place with the signing of the head of terms by Hakan TURALI and Banun ERKIRAN, Deputy Chairmen of the Board of Directors at TİAK A.Ş., and Mesut SAKAL, General Manager of Kantar Media.
Undertaking the Measurement Responsibility for the New Term, Kantar Media’s General Manager Mesut SAKAL shared the innovations and targets to be brought in terms of supplementary measurement methods (e.g. Time-Shifted Viewing and Multi-Screen Audience Measurements) in the new term, while Oliver PISCHKE briefed our stakeholders on the Global Applications and Innovations in TV Audience Measurement.
